Community Engagement & Participatory Action

This goal encourages community engagement and participation at various levels, so that we can all play a part in making a positive difference in our world.

This goal covers Advocacy and people campaigns, rootedness in local territory and neighbourhood ecosystems, care of creation at local, regional, national, and international levels.

Highlights of what we have planned to achieve by end of 2025: -

·       Identify and implement campaigns to support Laudato Si goals.

·       Identify and develop Resources and Information sheets on relevant topics to enhance participation from all.

·       Host a conference of ER entities around Laudato Si with guest speakers and workshops.

·       Conduct an annual celebration of ecological achievements.

·       Develop Province framework for Advocacy and process for participation.

·       Identify specific causes for dedicated focus with advocacy taskforce.

·       Identify partner organisations to develop joint sustainability initiatives.

 

What we have achieved: -

·       A suite of programs, rituals and opportunities for reflection produced annually by the Formation and Environmental Sustainability teams. Proactively seeking opportunities to engage our staff, volunteers and community in the promotion of ecological conversion, advocacy and action.
